Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has expressed confidence that her performance in office merits recognition, stating that she deserves to be named the country’s Best Regional Minister due to the hard work and dedication she has demonstrated since assuming office.
According to her, the progress made across the Greater Accra Region in areas such as sanitation, infrastructure development, security, and public service delivery reflects the commitment and effort she has invested in her role as Regional Minister.
Speaking at a public engagement, Madam Ocloo noted that leadership is measured by results and impact, stressing that her administration has focused on addressing the pressing challenges facing residents while implementing government policies aimed at improving livelihoods.
She highlighted ongoing initiatives to improve waste management, tackle flooding, enhance road networks, and strengthen collaboration between local assemblies and stakeholders to drive development within the region.
The Minister said she has worked tirelessly, often beyond normal working hours, to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and that the concerns of residents receive prompt attention.
“I have worked hard and I believe I deserve the Best Regional Minister award,” she stated, adding that the achievements recorded in the region speak for themselves.
Madam Ocloo further emphasized that while recognition is important, her primary focus remains delivering results for the people of Greater Accra and supporting the government’s development agenda.
She also commended staff of the Regional Coordinating Council, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives, as well as other stakeholders, for their support and collaboration in advancing development projects across the region.
Her remarks have sparked discussions among residents and political observers, with some praising her confidence and citing visible improvements in parts of the region, while others argue that performance assessments should be left to independent evaluators and the public.
Despite the debate, the Greater Accra Regional Minister maintains that her record in office demonstrates effective leadership and a strong commitment to serving the people, making her worthy of recognition among the country’s top-performing regional ministers.
