Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Semenyo has admitted that his team did not perform to their potential in their recent clash against Spanish giants.
Speaking after the match, Semenyo said, “We didn’t play well today. We made mistakes, and that cost us. We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we didn’t execute our plan properly.”
The match, which saw Real Madrid dominate possession and create numerous scoring opportunities, highlighted some of the challenges Semenyo’s side faced in keeping up with one of Europe’s top clubs. Despite showing moments of promise, defensive lapses and missed chances contributed to the final scoreline.
Semenyo remained optimistic about the future, adding, “We have to learn from this, work harder in training, and come back stronger. Every game is an opportunity to improve, and we will take these lessons forward.”
The defeat serves as a reminder of the fine margins in top-level football, especially when facing teams with the experience and quality of Real Madrid. Semenyo and his teammates will now look ahead to their upcoming fixtures, hoping to turn lessons learned into results on the pitch.
