President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to revitalising and promoting Ghana’s tourism, culture, and creative arts industry as a key driver of economic growth and national identity.

According to the President, the tourism and creative arts sectors remain critical pillars for job creation, youth empowerment, and foreign exchange generation. He stressed that under his leadership, deliberate policies and strategic investments will be implemented to unlock the full potential of the industry and position Ghana as a leading cultural and tourism destination in Africa.

President Mahama noted that Ghana’s rich heritage, vibrant festivals, historical landmarks, music, film, fashion, and culinary traditions present enormous opportunities for global promotion. He assured stakeholders that his administration will work closely with industry players, investors, and development partners to strengthen infrastructure, improve marketing efforts, and create an enabling environment for creatives and tourism operators to thrive.

He further indicated that empowering the creative arts community will not only preserve Ghana’s cultural identity but also contribute significantly to national development. The President emphasised that sustainable tourism development, coupled with strong support for artists and cultural institutions, will help expand opportunities for young people across the country.
