Fifi Kwetey has urged the National Democratic Congress to confront what he describes as “hypocrisy” within its ranks if it hopes to lead a national reset and regain public trust.
Speaking at a party gathering, Kwetey stressed that self-reflection and internal accountability are crucial for the party to position itself as a credible alternative in upcoming elections.
Call for Honest Self-Assessment
According to Kwetey, the NDC must first address internal contradictions, including inconsistencies in policy messaging and leadership accountability. Failure to do so, he warned, risks alienating supporters and weakening the party’s national appeal.
“The path to resetting Ghana begins with resetting ourselves,” he remarked, emphasising that transparency and integrity must underpin all party activities.
Strengthening Party Unity
The senior politician highlighted that ending internal hypocrisy is not just about optics, but also about building cohesion and shared purpose within the party. He called on party executives, legislators, and grassroots members to embrace reform and demonstrate consistency between words and actions.
Preparing for the Next Political Cycle
With national elections on the horizon, Kwetey’s message is seen as a rallying cry for NDC leaders to unite behind a vision that resonates with ordinary Ghanaians. Analysts note that internal discipline and authentic leadership will be critical to the party’s ability to challenge the incumbent government effectively.
Ghanaian Reset Hinges on NDC Reform
In closing, Kwetey insisted that meaningful national transformation is only possible if political parties, starting with the NDC, lead by example. His remarks underscore the party’s urgent need for introspection, coherence, and decisive action as it seeks to regain influence on the country’s political stage.
