The installation of the 3D scanners, also known as Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, forms part of broader efforts to modernize security infrastructure at the country’s premier aviation hub in Accra.
Unlike traditional X-ray machines, the new scanners generate detailed three-dimensional images of baggage and personal items, enabling security personnel to detect threats more accurately without requiring passengers to remove shoes or unpack electronics in many cases.
