The (ECG) said its technical teams had been deployed to assess the extent of the damage and begin repair works to restore power to affected communities.

According to the power distributor, the outages were largely caused by fallen tree branches and storm-related damage to power lines and electrical equipment. Engineers are currently working to clear debris and fix damaged infrastructure to ensure electricity supply is restored as quickly as possible.

ECG also advised residents to stay away from fallen electricity cables and report any electrical faults to the company’s nearest office or customer service lines.

Residents across the affected areas are hopeful that electricity will be fully restored once repair works are completed, as many businesses continue to count losses from the temporary power disruption.
