Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a violent robbery attack on a commercial motorbike rider, popularly known as an “okada” rider, at Fomena in the Ashanti Region.
According to police reports, the suspects allegedly attacked the rider at night after hiring his services under the pretext of being transported to a nearby community. Upon reaching a secluded area, they are said to have assaulted him and made away with his motorbike and other personal belongings.

The victim reportedly sustained injuries during the attack and was later assisted by residents who alerted the police. He has since received medical attention and is said to be responding to treatment.
Law enforcement officers, acting on intelligence and community tip-offs, tracked down and arrested the four suspects. The stolen motorbike has reportedly been retrieved as investigations continue.
Police say the suspects will be arraigned before court after investigations are concluded. Authorities have also urged commercial riders to remain vigilant, especially when operating at night, and to report any suspicious activity to help curb robbery incidents in the area.
