The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has officially opened a new premium service centre in Kumasi, aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving customer experience in the Ashanti Region.
The newly inaugurated facility is designed to provide fast-track and customer-focused services to motorists, corporate clients, and the general public. The centre will handle key services including driver’s licence applications and renewals, vehicle registration, number plate acquisition, ownership transfers, and other related transactions.
Improving Efficiency and Reducing Waiting Time
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, DVLA officials indicated that the premium centre forms part of the Authority’s broader strategy to modernise operations and reduce congestion at existing offices. The move is expected to significantly cut down waiting times and streamline service processes for clients who opt for the premium experience.
Management noted that Kumasi, being one of Ghana’s busiest commercial hubs, requires improved service infrastructure to meet growing demand. The new centre is therefore positioned to ease pressure on other DVLA offices in the metropolis and surrounding districts.
Modern Facilities and Enhanced Customer Experience
The premium service centre is equipped with modern technology and comfortable facilities to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for clients. Officials explained that the initiative aligns with DVLA’s ongoing digital transformation agenda, which seeks to leverage technology to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
Clients who use the premium centre will benefit from dedicated service counters, reduced processing times, and a more convenient environment.
Commitment to Quality Service Delivery
The DVLA reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and customer-oriented services nationwide. Authorities encouraged motorists and vehicle owners in Kumasi and nearby communities to take advantage of the new facility.
The opening of the Kumasi premium service centre marks another step in the DVLA’s efforts to modernise its operations and improve public service delivery across Ghana.
