The chief of Dagbamete has made a passionate appeal to government authorities and development partners to prioritize the completion of an ongoing road project in the community, while also calling for increased investment in vocational training to empower the youth.
Speaking at a community gathering, the traditional leader expressed concern over the slow pace of work on the road, describing it as a major setback to the area’s socio-economic development. According to him, the poor state of the road continues to hinder the movement of people and goods, affecting local businesses, access to markets, and essential services such as healthcare and education.
He stressed that completing the road would not only improve transportation but also attract investors and open up the community for economic growth. The chief urged the relevant authorities to expedite work on the project to bring relief to residents who have endured years of difficulty navigating the route.
In addition to infrastructure concerns, the chief highlighted the urgent need to expand vocational training opportunities for young people in Dagbamete. He noted that many youth in the area lack employable skills, making them vulnerable to unemployment and its associated challenges.
