The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has firmly rejected what it describes as “malicious and misleading” claims circulating about its dues collection shortcode system, insisting that the platform remains secure, transparent, and officially sanctioned by the party.
In a statement issued by the party’s communications team, the NPP said recent allegations suggesting that the shortcode had been compromised or was being used for unauthorized collections are entirely false. According to the party, the shortcode was introduced as part of efforts to modernize its internal financial systems and make it easier for members across the country to pay their dues conveniently.
“The claims being circulated are baseless and appear to be a deliberate attempt to create confusion and distrust among our members,” the statement noted. “Our dues collection shortcode remains fully operational and is the only approved digital platform for such transactions.”

The party further clarified that all payments made through the shortcode are properly recorded and reconciled within its financial management system. It added that robust security measures have been put in place to safeguard transactions and protect members’ data.
The NPP also urged its members and the general public to disregard any unofficial messages or platforms claiming to represent the party’s dues collection system. It encouraged members to rely only on verified communication channels for information regarding party activities and payments.
Reaffirming its commitment to accountability and transparency, the party emphasized that it will continue to adopt digital solutions to enhance efficiency while maintaining strict oversight of its financial operations.
The NPP concluded by cautioning individuals behind the alleged misinformation to desist from spreading falsehoods, warning that appropriate action could be taken to protect the party’s integrity.
