SIC Insurance Company Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding partnerships with local government institutions as part of efforts to deepen insurance penetration and improve risk management across the country.
The assurance was given during a working visit by a delegation from SIC Insurance to the Agona West Municipal Assembly in the Central Region.
The engagement formed part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen collaboration with public sector institutions and promote awareness of insurance products that can support municipal development and safeguard public assets.
Speaking during the meeting, representatives of SIC Insurance highlighted the importance of insurance in protecting infrastructure, personnel, and public investments. They noted that many local assemblies remain exposed to financial risks due to inadequate insurance coverage.
The team also presented a range of tailored insurance solutions designed for local government institutions, including motor insurance, fire and burglary coverage, and asset protection packages. They emphasized that such products could help the Assembly reduce financial losses arising from unforeseen incidents.
Officials of the Agona West Municipal Assembly welcomed the initiative and expressed interest in exploring stronger cooperation with the insurance company. They noted that improved risk protection mechanisms would enhance the Assembly’s operational efficiency and safeguard development projects within the municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive commended SIC Insurance for the outreach and encouraged continued engagement to ensure that all public assets under the Assembly are properly insured.
Both parties agreed to sustain dialogue aimed at formalizing a partnership framework that will promote mutual benefit and strengthen public sector insurance compliance in the municipality.
