Former Germany head coach Joachim Löw has dismissed reports linking him to the vacant coaching position of the Ghana national football team, stating clearly that he has had no contact with Ghanaian football authorities.

Speculation over who will take charge of the Black Stars has intensified in recent weeks, particularly following uncertainty surrounding the future of current head coach Otto Addo. A number of high-profile names have since been mentioned in connection with the role, with Löw among those reportedly being considered.

However, the former Germany national football team manager has moved to set the record straight, denying any discussions with the Ghana Football Association.

“I have not been contacted by the Ghana Football Association, and there are no talks ongoing,” Löw reportedly stated, shutting down rumours of a potential move to African football.

Löw, who enjoyed a highly successful tenure with Germany, is best known for leading the team to victory at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. His long spell in charge of the German national side earned him global recognition as one of the most accomplished coaches in international football.

Despite his pedigree, Löw’s denial means he is unlikely to be in contention for the Black Stars job at this stage, leaving the GFA to continue its search for a suitable candidate to lead the team forward.

The coaching situation remains a major talking point in Ghanaian football, with fans and stakeholders eager for clarity as the Black Stars prepare for upcoming international assignments.

For now, Löw’s comments put to rest speculation about his possible appointment, narrowing the list of potential candidates as the Ghana Football Association works to resolve the uncertainty surrounding the national team’s technical direction.
