Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has accused the head of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) of damaging his reputation and causing him to lose lucrative business opportunities following a controversy surrounding his Lamborghini.
According to the musician, public comments made by the EOCO boss regarding the luxury vehicle have unfairly portrayed him as someone involved in wrongdoing, thereby tarnishing his brand and affecting his professional relationships.
“My brand has suffered”
Speaking about the issue, Shatta Wale said the situation has had serious consequences for his career and image both locally and internationally.
He explained that several business partners and potential collaborators have grown cautious about working with him after the matter gained widespread media attention.
“The EOCO boss has tarnished my brand and cost me business deals. Some people now believe things that are not true about me,” he lamented.
The dancehall star noted that he has worked hard for years to build a strong brand and global recognition, and he feels the controversy has unfairly undermined that effort.
Lamborghini controversy
The dispute began after questions were raised about the ownership and documentation of a Lamborghini linked to the musician. The matter attracted public interest after it was mentioned in connection with investigations involving high-profile individuals and luxury assets.
Shatta Wale, however, insists that he has done nothing wrong and that the narrative surrounding the vehicle has been misrepresented.
He stressed that his success is the result of years of dedication to music, entrepreneurship, and brand partnerships.
Calls for fairness
The “On God” hitmaker urged authorities to handle such matters carefully, particularly when public figures are involved, noting that statements made without full clarification can significantly damage reputations.
He added that beyond music, he has invested in several ventures and partnerships that depend heavily on public trust and brand credibility.
Shatta Wale said he hopes the issue will be resolved quickly so he can focus on his career and business activities without further reputational harm.
