Ghanaian singer and songwriter Larusso has advised emerging artists to remain loyal to the people who support their journey and to stay committed to the passion that drives their music.
Speaking in a recent interview, the “Gi Dem” hitmaker stressed that success in the music industry often depends on the strength of an artist’s team and their ability to remain focused despite challenges and distractions.
According to Larusso, many young musicians lose direction when fame or opportunities begin to appear, sometimes abandoning the very people who helped them build their careers from the beginning.
He explained that having a dedicated team—whether managers, producers, or close friends—plays a crucial role in an artist’s growth and sustainability in the industry.
“Stay true to your team and the people who believed in you from the start,” he said. “They understand your journey and your vision. When you stay loyal to them and keep pushing your passion, the results will come.”
Larusso also encouraged upcoming musicians to remain authentic in their craft rather than trying to imitate trends simply to gain quick popularity.
He noted that while trends can bring temporary attention, genuine artistry and consistency are what ultimately build a lasting career.
The artist added that perseverance, discipline, and belief in one’s talent are essential qualities for anyone hoping to succeed in the highly competitive music industry.
Larusso rose to prominence with several popular songs and has continued to build a reputation as one of Ghana’s promising young music talents.
His message, he said, is meant to inspire young creatives to protect their vision, value their teams, and remain dedicated to the passion that first drew them into music.
